Hi! Welcome to the Other Stuff.
Here is where I will post my mad ramblings from time to time, let you know about upcoming appearances, answer questions, post bits of interest... that kind of thing. If there's something you want to see here, send me an e-mail, and I'll see what I can do.
Due to the number of e-mails I receive, I am not always able to respond, but rest assured that I do read every single one myself and I appreciate hearing from you!
Things continue to be busy - which is excellent. The Pictures pages show a couple of other things I've done recently - most notably a stunt appearance on Star Trek: Enterprise as an Orion Slaver with the wrestler Big Show and a bunch of my larger-than-average stunt buddies. If you happen to catch the episode ("Borderland") I'm the one roughing up Jolene Blalock, zapping the ensign with the little remote control gizmo, punching Thomas Dupont in the chest and then yanking Thomas around by his hair later in the jailbreak scenes. Far too much fun...
In December I once again appeared as part of the cast of the Christmas-themed sketch comedy show Santasia - this year subtitled Episode V, and shot a few days of zombie stunt work on the perpetually-name-changing feature House of the Dead 2: Dead Aim. There are rumors that they may drop the "House of the Dead" part of the name entirely due to the horrific stench created by the first film. It's currently scheduled for a 2006 release.
In April I shot the season finale of Charmed on the WB. I played the Ogre in a huge fight in the show, and for a change I was actually a good guy! Plus, it seems the Charmed hair and makeup department think I look like an ogre when I'm dirty, so you'll actually be able to see my face... I spent the better part of 13 hours one day bashing fellow stuntman Ilram Choi all over a doorframe. I believe it's scheduled to air May 22, so keep an eye out and check your local listings...
More recently, I had the pleasure of knocking out Toby Keith for his upcoming video "As Good As I Once Was". Several stunt buddies and I had a great couple of days beating the tar out of each other and breaking chairs, tables, bottles, and pool cues on each other. Way too much fun...
Even more recently I shot an episode of the USA series Monk, also having far too much fun doing a bar fight. Not sure when it's going to air yet, so keep an eye out.
Take care, stay strong, and believe...
-Big Dave
